Etherealize, a startup founded by former bond trader Vivek Raman, has launched as an institutional marketing and product arm for the Ethereum ecosystem. The company aims to articulate the value proposition of Ethereum to institutional investors who have favored Bitcoin in the past. The Ethereum Foundation and Vitalik Buterin have been identified as key investors in Etherealize, although the funding amount has not been disclosed. The Ethereum community has raised concerns about the foundation's leadership and effectiveness, accusing it of maintaining a bloated budget without adequately supporting network developers. While critics argue that Ethereum has fallen behind competitors like Solana and XRP, Buterin warns that aggressive pressure could drive away top talent. The departure of prominent Ethereum developer Nick Conner has further highlighted the misalignment between leadership and community desires. Etherealize has not yet disclosed how it plans to operate independently from the Ethereum Foundation.
