The cryptocurrency firm OKX has issued a warning to its users after receiving reports of suspicious activity related to a mining software called 'Bom'. The OKX Web3 security team conducted interviews with affected users and found that the software was uploading users' photo albums, suggesting malicious intent. OKX advises users to avoid downloading software from untrusted sources and to securely store their mnemonic phrases. The warning comes after a report of a theft of approximately $1.24 million and the theft is suspected to be related to 'wool-pulling' schemes, which involve misleading people into downloading malicious software or joining fraudulent schemes.
