Franklin Templeton has launched its latest crypto exchange-traded product, the Franklin Crypto Index ETF. This marks the asset manager's third major crypto exchange-traded fund, with the other two being the Franklin Bitcoin ETF and Franklin Ethereum ETF. The new fund, filed for approval in August 2024, will offer exposure to the price movements of Bitcoin and Ethereum. It will be custodied by Coinbase and initially consists of 82% Bitcoin and 18% Ethereum. The sponsor fee is currently 0.19%, but will be waived until August 31, 2025, or until the fund reaches $10 billion in assets. The SEC has acknowledged several filings for spot crypto ETFs, including one that seeks to add staking to an Ethereum ETF.
