In February, crypto losses reached a staggering $1.53 billion, representing a 1,500% increase from the previous month. Bybit, Infini, and zkLend were the three biggest exploits responsible for these losses. The largest hack was Bybit, attributed to North Korea's Lazarus Group, which siphoned $1.4 billion. This became the largest crypto hack ever recorded. Infini, a stablecoin neobank, experienced a $49.5 million loss due to a developer retaining admin rights and draining the funds. The third largest loss was the $9.5 million hack of zkLend. Wallet compromises, code vulnerabilities, and phishing attacks were also identified as leading causes of crypto losses.
