Blockchain platform COTI has launched the Africa Tokenization Council, an initiative aimed at promoting blockchain and artificial intelligence (AI) adoption across Africa and the Middle East. The council will bring African officials together with global tokenization leaders to discuss regulatory frameworks and investment opportunities in the industry. It seeks to attract international investment to the regions, which have combined GDP of over $5tn and are experiencing growth in mobile technology, fintech, and cryptocurrencies. The council will include key figures such as Dr. Mansour Almalik and Alaa Bishara, as well as COTI CEO Shahaf Bar-Geffen and Chief Ecosystems and Partnerships Officer Joshua Maddox. COTI's expertise in privacy and scalability will be crucial to the council's efforts to address concerns around data security and regulatory compliance in tokenization.
