However, he later mentioned that buying Bitcoin was acceptable. Mnuchin's successor, Janet Yellen, supports crypto regulation to reduce risks and fraud but remains skeptical of cryptocurrencies. The newly confirmed U.S. Treasury Secretary, Scott Bessent, is known for his pro-crypto stance and opposes the creation of a central bank digital currency.
