Iris Ramaya Au, the ex-girlfriend of crypto entrepreneur Adam Iza, has pleaded guilty to federal tax charges. She admitted to failing to report over $2.6 million in illicit gains derived from Iza's criminal operations. Au faces up to three years in federal prison. She used shell companies and illicit funds to finance a luxurious lifestyle alongside Iza, including luxury cars, real estate, and crypto. Prosecutors allege she was aware of the origin of the funds. Iza, who went by the alias "The Godfather," was arrested in September 2024 and charged with conspiracy, wire fraud, and tax evasion. He allegedly carried out large-scale fraud through his crypto trading platform, Zort, and engaged in violent activities. Iza faces up to 35 years in prison. Au has agreed to cooperate with authorities and will be sentenced alongside Iza later this year.
