A federal judge in Washington, D.C., has rejected a lawsuit by the AFL-CIO labor union to block Elon Musk's Department of Government Efficiency (D.O.G.E) from accessing US Department of Labor data. The AFL-CIO argued that Musk's access to labor data could create a conflict of interest and give him an advantage over competitors, but the judge ruled that the union failed to prove any harm had occurred. The AFL-CIO plans to bring more evidence to the court in an effort to "save America from Elon." Meanwhile, in a separate legal battle, federal employee unions and Democratic state attorneys-general are suing the Treasury Department to block D.O.G.E's access to payment records, citing concerns about data breaches. The next hearing in the Treasury case is scheduled for February 14.
