The FBI has announced that it has identified North Korea as responsible for the $1.5 billion crypto theft on the Bybit platform. The cyber attack, carried out by the Lazarus Group, is the largest publicly disclosed crypto hack to date. The FBI has labeled this cyber activity as "TraderTraitor" and has stated that the stolen assets are being converted to Bitcoin and other digital assets, with the intention of further laundering and converting them to fiat currency. The agency is urging various private sector entities to block transactions with addresses linked to TraderTraitor actors and has released a list of Ethereum addresses associated with the theft.
