The total increase in BTC-holding addresses was 12.79%, with nearly 10 million new addresses added throughout the year. However, the number of Bitcoin millionaire addresses added in 2024 was lower than in 2023, despite the strong bull market. This may be due to the initial low prices of Bitcoin and the wealth of alternative ways to gain exposure to the cryptocurrency. Additionally, the growth in altcoin and meme coin markets may have limited the growth in the number of Bitcoin holders.
