The SHIB community has been actively removing meme coins from circulation, resulting in a significant decrease in the burn rate of SHIB tokens. The recent decline in burn rate mirrors the downturn in the SHIB market, with the price of SHIB dropping by 3.35% and experiencing a total consecutive decline of 13% over the week. Despite the decrease in burn rate, the weekly burn rate metric has increased by 164.53%, with 102,867,453 SHIB tokens sent to unspendable wallets in the past seven days. The lead developer of SHIB, known as Shytoshi Kusama, responded to a statement made by crypto influencer Changpeng Zhao (CZ), emphasizing the importance of building products that meet people's needs before they are aware of them. Kusama believes that adoption comes naturally as narratives shift towards what has already been built, inviting CZ to watch what is happening with SHIB and Shibarium.
