Mastercard has launched its Crypto Credential solution in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Kazakhstan, marking its entry into the EEMEA (Eastern Europe, Middle East, and Africa) region. The solution simplifies crypto transfers by allowing users to send and receive tokens using simple aliases instead of complex blockchain addresses. The expansion will benefit exchanges and digital asset providers by streamlining blockchain transactions. The aim of Mastercard's Crypto Credential is to make crypto exchanges easier by verifying users' identities and ensuring the correct assets are sent to the right wallets. While the concept of blockchain aliases is not new, Mastercard's entry into the space is significant.
