The Trade Logistics Information Pipeline (TLIP), a joint creation by IOTA and various global entities, including The World Economic Forum and the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change, is transforming international trade by digitizing and streamlining supply chain documents. This has had a significant impact in Kenya, where TLIP was implemented last year, improving transparency and efficiency. However, despite TLIP's introduction, over 90% of international trade still relies on paper-based documents. TLIP has been adopted by organizations such as Sian Flowers, the Kenya Revenue Authority, and the Kenya Trade Network Agency, enabling easier verification of documents and facilitating faster clearance. TLIP is built on the IOTA technology, providing transparency, traceability, and immutability of data. IOTA plans to expand TLIP across Africa, with the aim of enhancing trade throughout the continent.
