Swiss Post, the national postal service of Switzerland, is releasing Swiss Crypto Stamps 3.0 in May this year. This collection is both available as physical stamps and as non-fungible tokens (NFTs) and is facilitated by the use of an artificial intelligence (AI) system. The designs for the new crypto stamps were created by visitors of the Swiss Digital Days in 2022, selected from a bunch of words and arranged by the AI system to make patterns on the stamps. Crypto Stamps 3.0 have an issue from 65,000 to 50 rare pieces with whose prices depend on their design and circulation. Furthermore, exclusive versions without an NFT are available to the collectors and enthusiasts.

This novel idea of incorporating technology with postal stamps is the brainchild of Swiss Post, a government institution dedicated to the task of providing swift and convenient delivery services within the country. Swiss Post has been manufacturing and distributing Crypto Stamps since 2018 in tandem with the emergence of more digitalized world. As of yet, there have been two of its successful Crypto Fill collections. While the stamps of the first series were focused on privacy and blockchain in various art forms, the second series was to celebrate the new decade in 2020.

Starting from April, Swiss Post will gradually release individual designs of the Crypto Stamps 3.0 on its website. The marketing of this collection is expected to reach out to a larger audience, especially those with a special interest in cryptocurrency. Its sales will start on May 2, 2023 at 7:30 am.

Swiss Post has ventured a step forward in marrying technology with traditional postal stamps. As the industry entering a more digitized environment, its efforts to keep up with the current trend will continue to attract its customers. Such a pioneering endeavor of combining the modern AI system with the classic postal stamps is a remarkable one that no doubt will find success.
