Feature.io today announced that it is developing an interactive Web3 multimedia car racing experience named 'Lollipop' with famous Hollywood's writer and director - David Ayer. Chris Long , the producer of Ayer's films and series- 'The Tax Collector' and 'Mr. Mercedes' is also attached to this project which is to be built on Ethereum scaling network Polygon.

Despite the details being veiled, Steven Ilous, the founder and CEO of Feature.io stated that this experience wasn't only a video game, rather an 'interactive media experience'. He described the project as something that had a potential to be an innovative experience and when he presented it to Ayer, the director understood it right away.

Lollipop is expected to combine elements of episodic streaming, gaming and professional sports, creating a hybrid of media content suitable for the audiences of current times. It will also involve the usage of Polygon-based “digital collectibles” and is said to be “truly pioneering” by Polygon Labs President Ryan Wyatt.

Though the exact usage of NFTs is yet to be disclosed, feature.io has elucidated that it's project will provide viewers a first-of-its-kind experience. While there have been a number of games that have already leveraged the capability of NFTs, a fully interactive Web3 multimedia experience is likely to open the doors for other futuristic entertainment solutions.

For now, all that can be assumed is that Feature.io is off to an impressive start with the 'Lollipop' project, as it joins hands with Ayer and Long. Considering the trend in the gaming space, it may not be wrong to state that this venture has what it takes to popularise the usage of NFTs and will certainly pave the way for the future of entertainment industry.
