Singapore, Hong Kong Lead the Blockchain Revolution, Not US

A new report has ranked Singapore as the top country in blockchain and crypto technology. The study evaluated countries based on blockchain patents, blockchain-related jobs, and the number of crypto exchanges. Singapore scored the highest with 85.4, followed closely by Hong Kong, Estonia, and Switzerland. Surprisingly, the United States ranked fifth. The report also reveals that the US has lost market share in the blockchain race over the last five years, primarily in emerging markets. Other countries in the top ten include Canada, Australia, South Korea, the United Kingdom, and the UAE. While established leaders dominate, emerging markets in Africa, Latin America, and Southeast Asia are showing promise in blockchain innovation. These countries are investing in talent, infrastructure, and regulation to shape the future of digital innovation. The race is far from over, and new leaders are likely to emerge in the coming years.
