Gala Games is upgrading its blockchain infrastructure by transitioning its GalaChain from a Raft consensus mechanism to a more secure Byzantine Fault Tolerance (BFT) consensus algorithm. This upgrade aims to enhance network resilience and protect against sophisticated cyberattacks by requiring consensus from a majority of honest nodes. The transition is currently underway in the test environment, with plans to implement the changes on the mainnet soon. This upgrade promises improved trust, transaction reliability, and a more robust blockchain infrastructure for users and developers in the Gala Games ecosystem.
