CandleFocus MoonPay Secures Money Transmitter License in Texas, Expanding Crypto Access for Millions

Crypto payment solutions provider, MoonPay, has obtained a Money Transmitter License from the Texas Department of Banking, allowing it to offer its money transmission services to Texas residents. Texans can now use MoonPay to purchase 64 cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana. MoonPay's integration with Venmo and PayPal also enables users to pay with these platforms. With over 20% of voting-age Texans owning cryptocurrency, MoonPay aims to support the state's growing interest in digital assets. MoonPay plans to introduce selling capabilities for BTC, ETH, and SOL in 2025. MoonPay now holds 45 Money Transmitter Licenses across the United States, demonstrating its commitment to compliance and consumer protection. The expansion into Texas strengthens MoonPay's position in the crypto payments market and facilitates easier access to digital currencies for users.
