Roger Ver, also known as "Bitcoin Jesus," has filed a motion to dismiss the charges of tax evasion brought against him by the U.S. Department of Justice. Ver's lawyers argue that the charges rely on violations of his rights and misleading quotations of his communications. They also claim that unclear and vague U.S. tax regulations played a significant role in Ver's alleged failure to pay taxes. Ver's legal team alleges that the DOJ continues to selectively quote and incorporate documents, violating Ver's attorney-client privilege. Ver was released on bail in Spain while awaiting a decision on his extradition to the U.S.
