Whale Alert, a prominent blockchain tracker, has detected significant whale activity in the XRP market. Two transactions involving large amounts of XRP were spotted, with one being transferred to Coinbase, the largest U.S. crypto exchange. This comes as XRP recaptured third place on CoinMarketCap after a brief decline. Over the past eight hours, an anonymous whale transferred 39,999,989 XRP worth $103,181,519 to Coinbase. Another transfer moved 19,999,989 XRP valued at $52,975,474. In total, around 60 million XRP, equivalent to $156 million, were transferred. This heightened whale activity was also confirmed by Santiment data, which revealed that whales accumulated 160 million XRP over the weekend. On Dec. 3, Whale Alert reported several large XRP transactions, with South Korean exchanges Bithump and Upbit involved. As XRP's price surged, wallets with 1-10 million XRP amassed 679.1 million XRP, valued at $1.66 billion. Ripple also issued a scam alert, warning the XRP community about scams and fake airdrops.
