Cardano has announced the introduction of Plan 529, a significant step towards its upcoming Plomin hard fork upgrade. The hard fork, previously known as Chang 2 hard fork, will now be named after Matthew Plomin, a dedicated Cardano community member who passed away. The hard fork working group has discussed the requirements for the mainnet hard fork governance action and believes it will be met by mainnet epoch 529, starting on December 20. The mainnet hard fork is expected to be raised on or after January 4, 2025, giving the community more time to prepare. Intersect also mentioned a minor node release, 10.1.3, which addresses an issue.
