NIGHT serves as the governance token and provides transparency, rewards for block producers, and consensus participation, while the DUST token acts as the transaction resource and conceals user data. The release of the Nightpaper has sparked bullish reactions, with some experts predicting a surge in network activity. The Midnight blockchain's design emphasizes the protection of user and business metadata through zero-knowledge proofs (ZK proofs) and simplifies development with TypeScript. Midnight also supports interoperability with other blockchain platforms. The project is expected to move from the Devnet phase to the Testnet phase and eventually launch the Mainnet according to its roadmap.
