London-based fintech company Revolut is reportedly planning to issue its own stablecoin, joining other players in the sector such as PayPal, Ripple, and BitGo. The company, which obtained a UK banking license earlier this year, aims to become a safe haven for the crypto community by expanding its cryptocurrency offerings. The stablecoin sector, currently dominated by Tether's USDT, has seen a surge in new entrants recently. Revolut has been involved in cryptocurrency trading for several years and launched a dedicated cryptocurrency exchange in May.
