The amount of Ethereum (ETH) locked in Layer 2 networks has increased by 109.61% in the past year, reaching an all-time high of 14.77 million ETH valued at over $33 billion. Layer 2 solutions are designed to provide faster and more affordable transaction processing compared to the main Ethereum network. The total value locked (TVL) in Ethereum layer twos currently stands at $33.95 billion, a 199.03% increase over the year. Although the USD value has dropped in recent months due to Ethereum's weak price performance, the overall trend remains positive, indicating growing trust in Ethereum's scaling capabilities and demand for decentralized applications and DeFi solutions.
