Lombard Finance's LBTC token, which allows bitcoin to be used as collateral on decentralized finance (DeFi) platforms, is expanding to the Sui blockchain. The move will enable Sui network users to access bitcoin staking rewards and utilize the token across various DeFi protocols. LBTC has been successful since its launch, with almost $2 billion in circulation and the majority deployed in DeFi platforms. Lombard Finance plans to incentivize the adoption of LBTC on the Sui network and is open to further expanding to other non-EVM networks in the future.
