Seismic, an encrypted blockchain, has successfully raised $7 million in funding from investors including a16z Crypto, Polychain, Alliance, and 1kx. This is the first fundraising effort for founder Lyron Co Ting Keh, who created Seismic with the goal of solving the issues of forced transparency and limited scalability in the crypto industry. Co Ting Keh believes that these are two significant problems that have been discussed for the past decade, and Seismic aims to address them by integrating encryption into the foundation of the blockchain, rather than simply adding it on afterwards.
