Ukraine's Ministry of Foreign Affairs has reportedly been hacked by the Russian-based crypto ransomware gang Qilin. Cybersecurity analyst Dominic Alvieri claims that the department was hacked, and Qilin has stated that it possesses stolen data, including private correspondence and personal information, some of which has already been sold. Qilin operates a ransomware-as-a-service operation that extorts cryptocurrencies, and it is believed to be responsible for a hack on London hospitals. The hack comes just after the US froze intelligence sharing with Ukraine and announced plans to revoke the temporary legal status of Ukrainian refugees.
