Users of Binance in Nigeria are reportedly being blocked from participating in airdrop campaigns, adding to the ongoing battle between the cryptocurrency exchange and the Nigerian government. Binance has already removed naira trading pairs from its platform and barred Nigerians from using its peer-to-peer platform in an attempt to appease the government. However, the dispute was reignited after a former employee claimed that Nigerian politicians had solicited a bribe. The restrictions are frustrating Nigerian crypto users and could slow the adoption of cryptocurrencies in the country. A Nigerian judge has also postponed a hearing in which the government is demanding over $80 billion from Binance.
