According to data from RWA.xyz, Ethereum and its Layer 2 ecosystem make up 86% of all real-world assets (RWAs) on the blockchain. The total RWA value on Ethereum and zkSync Era is $5.8 billion, making Ethereum the dominant platform for tokenized real-world assets. Ethereum holds $3.8 billion in RWA, while zkSync Era adds $2 billion. Other blockchains like Stellar, Polygon, Solana, and Avalanche also have smaller amounts of RWA tokenization. Notably, Binance Smart Chain (BSC) has zero RWA value, indicating a lack of adoption. Ethereum's success in RWA tokenization is credited to its strong smart contract ecosystem, security, and network effects. Layer 2 networks like zkSync Era enhance Ethereum's scalability. Solana is also making a push into RWA tokenization with Securitize's integration. Additionally, Apollo, a $730 billion investment giant, launched a tokenized version of its Diversified Credit Fund across multiple chains, showcasing the growing interest in alternative networks for RWA tokenization.
