Bitcoin ETF issuers are acquiring BTC at a rate more than 20 times faster than miners can produce new blocks, according to a report. They purchased more than 9,000 BTC on Friday and Monday, with the rate increasing. This high consumption rate continues despite Bitcoin's recent downturn. The ETF issuers now own 5% of the total supply and have surpassed Satoshi's holdings. Although the market has seen early troubles in 2025, including a $330 million outflow from IBIT, the ETF issuers continue to acquire BTC. This trend is raising concerns about Bitcoin's decentralization. There is currently no countermeasure to combat this growing trend.
