Japanese bitcoin acquirer Metaplanet will be added to the MSCI Japan index at the end of February 28, according to CEO Simon Gerovich. This inclusion will provide increased exposure to global investment funds and ETFs that track MSCI indices, benefiting Metaplanet. The firm also completed a raise of $26 million in unsecured, unguaranteed bonds to purchase additional bitcoin. Gerovich sees this milestone as solidifying Metaplanet's position as Asia's leading Bitcoin Treasury Company and expanding their reach in global markets.
