CEX.IO, a crypto exchange, has expanded its services in the UK by introducing spot trading for UK-based customers. This allows UK users to access the same products available to CEX.IO customers in the European Union, including trading over 100 cryptocurrencies. The launch of spot trading follows the exchange's reentry into the UK in September 2024, after temporarily halting operations in October 2023 to comply with regulatory requirements. The move to offer spot trading is seen as a commitment to anti-money laundering measures and could help increase CEX.IO's market share in the UK.
