The Bank of Montreal (BMO) has revealed its holdings in various Bitcoin ETFs through a filing with the SEC. BMO holds positions in well-known Bitcoin ETFs including Fidelity's FBTC, Franklin Templeton's EZBC, BlackRock's IBIT, and Grayscale's GBTC. This move aligns with the growing trend of major financial institutions integrating crypto-related assets into their investment portfolios. However, the broader spot BTC ETF market has experienced significant outflows recently, with Bitcoin ETFs collectively seeing a net outflow of $140.2 million on February 6, 2025. Despite this, some Bitcoin ETFs continue to attract investments. BMO's disclosure highlights the increasing involvement of traditional financial institutions in the crypto space.
