Crypto exchange Coinbase is reportedly working with Indian authorities, including the Financial Intelligence Unit, to re-establish its presence in the Indian market. The move comes after Coinbase halted onboarding new users in India in June 2023 due to strict regulations and banks' reluctance to serve digital asset firms. Coinbase's competitor Binance successfully resumed operations in India last year. Coinbase recently obtained authorization from the UK's Financial Conduct Authority to offer crypto services in the UK.
