The Web3 Alliance of Saudi Arabia (WASA) has been launched with the collaboration of global Web3 players SandBox, Animoca Brands, and Outlier Ventures. WASA aims to unite blockchain and digital innovation leaders to drive Web3 adoption in Saudi Arabia and support the country's digital transformation goals. The alliance's board is composed of industry leaders and experts who will focus on awareness and education, development of standards and best practices, networking and collaboration opportunities, and research and development initiatives. WASA will serve as the advocate for Web3 technology in the region and will operate independently to promote innovation. Interest in Web3 technologies is growing in Saudi Arabia, with 69% expressing enthusiasm for innovation, according to a recent KPMG report.
