Chinese government officials have denied rumors that they are considering selling TikTok to Elon Musk, the "Doge Father," due to regulatory challenges. Earlier reports had suggested that Beijing representatives were exploring options to keep TikTok operational in the US, including selling the platform to Musk. However, the Chinese government has stated that it has no plans to relinquish control of TikTok's US subsidiary. The Supreme Court is set to rule on January 19 on whether ByteDance, TikTok's parent company, must sell off the platform or face a ban in the US. Musk has been a vocal critic of the TikTok ban and could potentially be enticed to invest in the platform due to its large user base and potential for increased advertising revenue.
