Gryphon Digital Mining has acquired an 850-acre industrial site in Southern Alberta, Canada from Captus Energy for $18.7 million. The site, powered by natural gas, will be used by Gryphon to expand its AI and high-performance computing data center infrastructure. The deal is expected to close by April 2025, and Gryphon will pay Captus $27 million CAD. The site has the potential to scale up to 4 gigawatts in capacity and could generate over $5 billion in annual revenue for Gryphon. The acquisition is seen as transformative for Gryphon's expansion into the AI and HPC infrastructure market.
