He sees overregulation as a threat to innovation in the DeFi sector and advocates for the protection of individual financial independence. Hines also opposes the adoption of central bank digital currencies, viewing them as a violation of decentralization principles. Although Hines has shown support for freedom of speech, he has yet to discuss his plans as an executive director of the Crypto Council.
