Brad Garlinghouse, CEO of Ripple, believes that XRP will be one of the winners in the cryptocurrency industry due to its utility as a payment token. In an interview on the Thinking Crypto podcast, Garlinghouse discussed various topics including XRP ETFs, Ripple's stablecoins, and U.S. crypto regulations. He criticized the SEC for intervening in the crypto market and suggested that its involvement helped Ethereum overtake XRP in market cap. Despite this, Garlinghouse believes that XRP's regulatory clarity, established through the Ripple lawsuit, will allow the token to thrive independently. He emphasized XRP's use case for payments and its regulatory clarity as factors that will contribute to its success. Garlinghouse also questioned whether the SEC's appeal against Ripple would hinder the launch of an XRP ETF, suggesting that the agency is acting as a rogue entity. He criticized the SEC for using documents from a case they lost against Ripple without acknowledging the loss.
