Switzerland has been leading the field in terms of cryptocurrency adoption in Europe since 2023. Reports suggest that the Neutral State has a 21% adoption rate, two times higher than the UK, France and Germany, who all maintain around 12%. This is largely attributed to their favorable regulatory framework and infrastructure that has attracted businesses and blockchain enthusiasts to the canton of Zug. In an attempt to combat the adversity arising from cryptocurrency exchanges, Switzerland recently reviewed their regulations, showing favourable tax rates and legal environment towards investments. Switzerland has become a frontrunner in terms of innovative technology, such as AI and ChatGPT which were demonstrated with the launch of Crypto Stamp 3.0. This new series of stamps was created using AI-generated designs from the Swiss Digital Days in 2022. The interest for these technological projects has exceeded even that for the World Cup and iPhone 14. The three cantons of Geneva, Zurich and Basel have been leading the way in terms of searches, showing the great potential for innovation in Switzerland.
