Nassim Nicholas Taleb, a well-known statistician and author of the international bestseller "Black Swan," recently made an appearance on Bloomberg's Odd Lots podcast to explain his mistake in Bitcoin. Despite his vehement criticism of the Federal Reserve, the scholar has noted that cryptocurrency is even more fragile than the central bank. According to Taleb, the key factor of fragility is that only a small group of individuals have control over Bitcoin and it is only represented as a book entry. Despite its inception as a kind of transactional tool, Bitcoin has become more of a virtual area for speculating. As a former Bitcoin holder, Taleb is aware of his mistake and has demonstrated this by going short on crypto. The popular figure believes that understanding the vulnerability of something is the first step to remedy this problem. With his concept of "anti-fragility," the expert exclaims that building a system that strengthens through adversity is essential.
