Aragon, a leading open-source framework for creating decentralized autonomous organizations (DAOs) has unveiled their new toolkit on the Polygon network. This new tool requires no prior coding skills, allowing many to launch DAOs, create proposals and bring in new members. Anthony Leutenegger, head of growth at Aragon, remarks that this is a great development for users all around the world and especially so for people in developing countries.

Using the Polygon protocol for their new tech stack comes with various advantages. This protocol is an interoperability and scaling framework for building Ethereum-compatible blockchains which protocols lower fees and faster transactions than Ethereum. It has been utilized by numerous Web3 projects such as Aavegotchi, a gaming DAO and Lens, a decentralized social media network.

By implementing the Aragon's new toolkit in the Polygon network they hope to reduce instances of voter apathy. Voting and executing governance proposals are now much more affordable, cheaper cost of gas fees overall. This could greatly impact voter participation when using DAOs. In addition, Aragon also has several other projects in the pipeline such as the smart contract composer, additional functionality through the SDK, more governance plugins and the ability to import tokens.

Furthermore, they've also announced explorations into ZK-EVM, another Ethereum scaling solution, and launching onto other chains besides Polygon in the near future. As of now Aragon is continuing to enhance the functionality of their App and are also studying demand to decide what chain to use next. One thing is for sure, Aragon is making great developments to improve the DAO experience for everyone, everywhere.
