Justin Sun, founder of the Tron blockchain, has confirmed that he still holds the position of a WTO ambassador for Grenada, despite media reports to the contrary. Sun shared screenshots of the WTO's official website in order to back his claims that he remains an ambassador for the Caribbean country.

Sun was appointed by the government of Grenada to the post of WTO ambassador in December 2021, whereupon he assumed the style of "His Excellency" on his social media accounts. The title remains present on both his verified personal Twitter account and his diplomatic Twitter account.

However, earlier this week, the Grenada Broadcasting Network reported that the government had withdrawn the post from Sun following the election of the National Democratic Congress in June 2022. The WTO and the government of Grenada have yet to make an official statement on the matter.

While Justin Sun's position as a diplomat remains an ongoing topic of discussion, the situation has become further complicated following the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission filing a lawsuit against him and his Tron blockchain company. The regulator accused the duo of offering and selling two unregistered crypto tokens, Tronix (TRX) and BitTorrent (BTT). Additionally, the SEC alleged that Sun and Tron manipulated the prices of TRX between April 2018 and February 2019.
