IOTA Set to Launch $vUSD Stablecoin in January, Focusing on AI Agents and Payments in 2025

Co-founder of IOTA, Dominik Schiener, has announced that IOTA is planning to launch its native stablecoin, vUSD, in January 2025. This move is seen as a significant step towards transitioning IOTA into a payment network. Schiener also highlighted that IOTA has plans to enable various other products, including P2P payments, remittances, AI agents, and trade finance. The announcement came in response to Ripple's launch of RLUSD on global exchanges. In addition to this news, IOTA has partnered with the crypto exchange BYDFi to provide blockchain services, and they are working on the mainnet launch of the Rebased Protocol. There are also speculations that IOTA may integrate with Coinbase's Rosetta standard to achieve better connectivity. Despite a recent drop in price, experts expect a strong surge in the future, with analysts predicting a breach of resistance levels and a price increase of over 450%.
