Craig Wright skips UK court hearing, COPA wants him in prison

Craig Wright, the self-proclaimed inventor of Bitcoin, did not attend his contempt of court hearing in London, claiming a lack of means for travel. As a result, he may face arrest and imprisonment. The hearing was brought by the Crypto Open Patent Alliance (COPA), which accuses Wright of breaching his court injunctions after filing a lawsuit against Square Up and BTC Core. COPA offered to cover Wright's travel costs, but he rejected the offer and asked for a substantial sum. Wright's absence led to claims that he is deliberately avoiding consequences, and the COPA representative recommended a two-year custodial sentence.
