CandleFocus Binance Abruptly Deletes Alpha Watchlist Tokens, Spurring Unforeseen Pump and Dump

Cryptocurrency exchange Binance mistakenly posted a list of "alpha watchlist tokens" on its Telegram channel, causing a surge in the mentioned tokens. However, Binance later clarified that the information was false, leading to the tokens losing their gains. The post named five projects with strong fundamentals and active communities. Some traders speculated that the Telegram group was fake, but it was confirmed to be an official Binance channel. One trader lost $102,000 within minutes due to panic selling when the false news was confirmed. Binance has not responded to requests for comment.
