Global Futures and Options Ltd. (GFO-X), a U.K.-based crypto derivatives platform, has announced that Standard Chartered, Virtu Financial, ABN AMRO Clearing, and IMC will be its strategic partners. These companies will help GFO-X meet the requirements to offer Bitcoin (BTC) index futures and options to institutional investors. The platform plans to officially launch in the first quarter of 2025 and will leverage the financial market infrastructure of LCH SA's DigitalAssetsClear. LCH SA, which is majority-owned by the London Stock Exchange Group, received regulatory approval to offer clearing services for BTC index futures. The launch of GFO-X comes as the crypto market gains greater attention.
