Resnick, known for his contrarian beliefs on Ethereum's roadmap, argued that layer-2 solutions were misguided and that Ethereum should focus on scaling the base layer. Resnick's move to Solana was seen as a significant event in the Solana world, and it could raise some eyebrows within the Ethereum community. Solana co-founder Anatoly Yakovenko encouraged Resnick to make the move. Resnick's focus at Anza will be on fee markets and consensus, and he envisions adding multiple leaders to the Solana protocol. He sees Solana's culture as more open to unconventional ideas compared to Ethereum. Resnick believes that Ethereum's culture can be bogged down by "political bullshit."
