A 24-year-old Dutch law student who went into hiding last year after his cryptocurrency trading scheme collapsed has been arrested after further evidence was submitted in relation to his alleged multi-million euro scam. The man, dubbed as a "crypto genius," had allegedly taken investments of up to €4.5 million from around 300 individuals, including friends and family. He continued to recruit new investors despite the scheme being on the verge of collapse, and it is claimed he operated a pyramid scheme by using funds from newcomers to pay back old investors.
