Ripple's partnership with Chainlink to provide price feeds for its RLUSD stablecoin on Ethereum has caused dissatisfaction among some members of the XRP community who are also part of the Flare community. These members believe that Flare should have been the partner instead of Chainlink. Flare Labs CEO Hugo Philion responded by explaining that Flare currently does not provide oracles to other networks and is focused on offering staking and DeFi incentives for bridged XRP, Bitcoin, and Dogecoin. While this explanation has brought some calm, some question Flare's prospects in the DeFi space compared to more established blockchains like Ethereum.
